Scrabble Letters

Onboarding for 

Horticulturist/ Vegetable Gardening Enthusiast

Time commitment:  Upto four hours fortnightly for three weeks.

​

Responsibilities:

Gardening Expertise: Utilize your horticultural knowledge to plan, maintain, and enhance our vegetable garden or green spaces.

 

Plant Care: Monitor on consultation basis the health and growth of plants, ensuring proper watering, fertilization, and pest control measures as needed.

 

Education: Offer guidance and educational support to team members and community volunteers interested in gardening practices.

 

Promote sustainable gardening techniques, such as composting, mulching, and eco-friendly pest management while collaborating with team members to organize various workshops, events or programs.

Special Educator

Time Commitment: Four hours/week fortnightly for three weeks.

Responsibilities:

​

Tactile Board Creation: Proficient in designing and constructing tactile boards that cater to different learning styles and individual needs. Utilize various materials, textures, and tactile elements to engage learners effectively.

​

Individualized Instruction: Skilled in developing personalized learning plans for students with learning disabilities, ensuring that their specific strengths and challenges are addressed adequately.

​

Multisensory Teaching: Implementing a variety of multisensory teaching techniques to engage learners' visual, auditory, and kinesthetic senses, fostering a deeper understanding of the subject matter.

Speech Therapist

Time Commitment: Four hours/week fortnightly for three weeks.

​

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive speech evaluations to assess speech disorders and communication needs.

  • Developing individualized speech therapy plans based on assessment results and client goals.

  • Utilizing evidence-based techniques and interventions to target specific speech difficulties.

​

Skills:

​

  • Additional Training in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) methods.

Braille educator

Time Commitment: Four hours/week fortnightly for three weeks.

​

Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in braille transcription and various braille codes (Unified English Braille, Grade 1 and 2).

  • Expertise in creating tactile materials and adapting educational resources for tactile learning.

  • Familiarity with assistive technologies and tools for individuals with visual impairments.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and tactile, to facilitate interactions with visually impaired students.

  • Patience, empathy, and sensitivity in addressing the challenges faced by individuals with visual impairments.

Skills/Education:

​

  • Certification in Braille Transcription and Literacy

Mental wellness facilitators

Time Commitment: Four hours/week fortnightly for three weeks.

​

Responsibilities:

  • Experience in leading group discussions, workshops, or support sessions focused on mental wellness.

  • Skill in guiding conversations while allowing participants to express themselves freely and safely.

  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and responsibly.

  • Awareness of when and how to escalate concerns to professional mental health services.

  • An inclusive mindset that appreciates and respects diverse perspectives, cultures, and backgrounds.

  • The ability to create an environment where all participants feel valued and welcomed.

  • Understanding of professional boundaries and ethical considerations in mental health facilitation.

  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and privacy of participants' information.

  • A personal commitment to practicing self-care and maintaining their well-being to prevent burnout.

  • Awareness of how their own mental and emotional health can impact their facilitation.
